I don't think Barcelona will be after Griezmann anymore, not after he turned down the offer from last summer, not after he's been booed this last game by barcelona fans, and not after Dembele and Malcom seem too slowly adapt to the clubs unique style. Although one could argue that Dembele is injured a lot and Malcom still needs to progress more, but both are really young and could reach Griezmann's level.

Back to Atletico, Simeone is the best payed coach in the world and he did wonders with a relatively small club, but i would dare to say that right now, Atletico is no longer a small club and everyone expects more from the club, especially in regards to the play style.
I mean it's ok to play like that against big clubs, but they use the same style against small spanish clubs which costs them a lot of points this championship.
I would also add that, in my opinion, it's Simeone's fault that Atletico lost 3-0 against Juventus and not Juve's merit.

In conclusion, i would expect some changes this summer for Atletico.

Godin (33) is out of contract in the summer and could move to Inter Milan for free and ManU has been interested as well.
Juanfran (34) and Filipe Luis (33) also out of contract

Griezmann turned down Barca last summer but could change his mind.
Man City interest in Saul
Partey linked to every major Premier League club
Savic having a confrontation with the fitness coach Oscar Ortega

And Oscar Ortega then. Atletico has had 45 injuries over the season. Pretty high
Also some of the players were complaining after the Juve loss, that Ortega's training the day before had been a toil, unnecessarily hard, and the players tired in the game.

Dont forget that Rodrigo is bound to leave with a rather "low" buyout clause of 70mio.

Griezmann wont leave now. No club willing to pay him what he gets in Madrid still wants him. For Barca it makes no sense to replace Suarez with a player who is just a little younger and pay a 9 figure price for him. Rumor has it that they want Jovic, which is understandable, that guy is a beast. I would love if Bayern would go for him instead of Werner, but we will see.

I still think that even in worst case scenario, there is enough of the team left to fill the gaps with talents and good players. As already said, the money should be there

Tbh Simeone's style doesn't need players that are rare talents but rather physically strong destroyers.

not when it comes to networth, but what the respective club paid for the players.

If you look at the net worth ronaldo is still 30 million more than ajax

Ronaldo is roughly valued at 100 Mio. Juve paid 117mio for him.
de Jong and de Ligt alone are worth more than that.
All things considered ajax' team is valued north of 400 Mio

Short recap of the two games I saw live this week in the CL:

Liv:Porto 2:0 - well deserved victory by Liv, while the result could've been clearer or closer, Porto didn't disappoint at all, they had their chances and Liv shouldn't feel to safe for the 2nd leg at the home of the dragons, very entertaining game overall

Ajax:Juve 1:1 - Ajax was the better team over 90min without having a lot of clear cut chances, I can't help but feel like it was a very well thought out game plan by Juventus and they got the result they wanted, the last 10min Juve was closer to winning than exhausted Ajax, CR7 was far from completely healthy, but did the job once again, very good game overall as well, Juve has the better chances of going through now but you can't count Ajax out

Thoughts on the other results?
Tott:ManCity 1:0
ManU:Barca 0:1

MU vs Barcelona : the first 20 mins, barca was clearly playing better, they had like 75% possession. Also in those 20 mins, 2 yellow cards got handed out and there were 2 fouls that should have been yellow cards. But at the end of the first half and beginning of 2nd half MU was playing better and you really had some good intense football. But mu just got tired in the end and couldn't keep the pressure up anymore so it started to rip again. But was pretty gud match

Ref was a bit weird. Schmalling got to play pretty hard, like giving Messi the bloody nose, and nothing. Then he booked Vidal for nothing, though Fred was acting. Then he booked Lingard shortly later almost to balance out the poor yellow given to Vidal

Mateu Lahoz had a much better grip on the Porto-pool match. Whistled hardly any dives/acts.

I only saw the last minutes but it warmed my heart seeing BabyRage going out.

Meanwhile at Barca-ManU:
16' Ashley Young's poor pass intercepted by Messi. Nice goal
20' Fred losing possession to Messi. Weak shot that took every effort from de Gea not to keep out
61' Beautiful goal from Coutinho
Other than the first ten minutes or so ManU looked outclassed

Ok, my short verdict:

LFC played great for the majority of the game, but without a 100% determination in front of the goal. Playing too complicated in many cases instead of just shooting. Messi is Messi and in the end Klopp is lucky to have a glimpse of hope for the game at Anfield.
