Dr_Starfart wrote:Went to 1917 in cinema. This movie is just so holy shit. The idea is to make it just look like it is made in one take. They really nailed that, there are a few moments where you can guess they started a new shot but you dont notice it at all. The story is fine, but the experience is amazing.
Here is a behind the scenes vid to just get an idea of how detailed and beatiful it is. I dont think it spoils a lot too.

what brati said is what I would have suggested, other than that, things that have came out recently?

haven't watched 1917 yet but I'd say it's probably quite good
the irishman is also gut
star wars 9 was meh
joker was very stronk
rambo last blood was actually quite good as well imo
I also liked IT 2, some pretty funny shit in there

4 episodes into Witcher, so far I REALLY like it. I dont care what some people critized that afroamerican actors should have no place in something that plays in eastern europe. For me, it is a fantasy world and that is that.
Really good swordfighting scenes, story is intense, the dude they cast as witcher is perfect. Already sad that there are only 8 episodes in the first season, but hopefully Netflix stays true to itself and production doesnt take as long as with traditional studios.
I like it so much in fact, that I got Witcher 3 again with expansionpack. Yoho yoho Kappa

Gave up on the Witcher after 2 eps. came across, to me, as a cheap 90s series with weak direction and storyline but everyone to their own ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

But watched Warrior last night after a couple of recommendations in here, really enjoyed it. Why didn't i watch it when it came out? probably the heavy tilt towards the MMA theme put me off. I've never been a big fan of fighting films as they tend to be overly dramatic and bullshit. This one was too but the fighting wasn't the only storyline in the film and i enjoyed the side stories.

Watched Ford v Ferrari yesterday and I liked it.
My wife liked it as well, even though it was long and had something to do with cars

Petrol heads will like this movie, also the drama is very good. Good historical facts. High adrenaline, fast pace scenes. Dont want to ruin it for you. Check it out if you have time.

I went to hors normes in the smallest cutest cinema ever today. Film was really good and I think it says enough that the cinema was dead silent until halfway into the end credits

Laid my eyes upon a screen that has shown me the entirety of "a hidden life" 7/10

It's a good movie, but you really need to be in the mood for it. It's a slow movie that is 3 hours long. I enjoyed the movie, but I probably won't watch it again. Let's put it like that.
