Never played that as well, so no idea.

And you're supposed to be german... But seriously try them out, they're awesome. In my opinion Settlers II/III are the best ones, the latter ones are decent aswell, but focusing a bit too much on combat imo (Settlers V atleast, VI even too).

Just downloaded Settlers 5, 6 and 7, so I guess I should play the earlier parts first?

The Settlers 5 is a bit of a "odd one out" in regards of the series. I mean there's the economy mechanics but there's a lot more emphasis on combat (Also troops which move completely freely, like in Command & Conquer etc). 6 and 7 improved in this aspect (No complete free movement, instead you move them between "provinces" in realtime), but still I'd say II, III and IV are the best ones without a question.

Settlers II-IV has really simplified combat and more focus on you setting up your economy (Gathering wood, getting iron to make tools for workers/weapons for soldiers, making sure mines have food provided to them etc etc). For Settlers II, if you dont like the old school feel of the graphics, you can (And should) get the "The Settlers II: 10th Anniversary". Basically it's a remake of the exact same game but with better sounds, UI and graphics, and slightly improved combat mechanics.

If you like the 10th Anniversary, you will like all the other games (Except maybe 5 and 6+7 are debatable) too as they're quite similar. My recommendation is start with the 10th Anniversary edition (You could start with Settlers I too, but I feel like it goes a bit too far back in regards everything). Also in Settlers III you wont have to worry about the road system anymore (Like you do in 10th anniversary). It's not annoying though, just provides a small extra challenge in regards of planning your settlement and economy.

If you want, try out a board game named "The Settlers of Catan". https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catan

I even have that game on my phone, loads of fun when I'm waiting for something. And with the right settings the games dont take too long.

Pretty average compared to my hardcore Paint Simulator sessions back in the day.

So is anyone interested in building a group for horizon 3? I will download it over night and play the shit out of it as I loved test drive unlimited, the crew and all the similar open world racing games.

Would be fun to explore the campaign in coop!

Just realised Mafia III is coming in 5 days. Loved the first two games, let's hope they don't fuck this up.

I'm afraid they will. From what I've seen it looks more like GTA than like Mafia... ;(

Someone I know was playing it, was thinking about it..... but that price is ridiculous, especially considering it's a somewhat normal 60 dollars in the US.

Got FH3 already. The only downside so far for me is that this game doens't accept my XBOX ONE AFTERGLOW controller QQ
